I'd been a spiritual and personal development teacher for many years, had established Divine Openings, and created five online courses that dramatically changed lives. Divine Openings had spread to over eighty countries.
As I discovered how quickly people got free with Divine Openings, my focus began to change to "what do you do once your enlightenment has begun and you don't have to work on yourself and seek anymore?" I knew I'd create a Tantra online course, but I was guided to wait until the right partner showed up to bring it, and me, fully alive to it.
An amazing Tantric partner was coming, and I could feel that we'd inspire each other to new creativity and lift each other up to unimagined new heights. While I prepared myself for that last and best relationship, I chose to be single for two and a half years, and I Honeymooned with The Presence within. Well, that partner has come into my life, and even in the first months of our relationship at a 1350 mile distance, Russell expanded my world explosively. I'd held back from total commitment my whole life, but suddenly there was no holding back. I was propelled by Divine Will to surrender to it rapidly, completely, and happily.
The Tantric and spiritual energy was literally, physically overwhelming before we ever touched our fingers together at the airport at our first physical meeting. We already knew. Russell indeed inspires, informs, and literally fleshes out this course with me, just in being who he is, doing what he does, lighting me up, and speaking as articulately as he does--not surprising, since he's been an acclaimed best selling author for thirty years.
Tantric lovemaking has come naturally to me for decades, and when I'd read Tantra books I'd usually find I already "knew" most of it and was living it. I've been a Tantric master or priest/priestess in many previous lives, but in this life, until Russell I didn't yet have a partner to who fully met me there. Tantra was his main spiritual path, having studied the works of Margo Anand and others.
If you've known me for long, you know how strong my commitment to authenticity is. I teach what I'm living, and walk the talk, and just don't feel right doing it any other way. There was love, joy, good sex, and purpose in each of the partners along my path, but I was saving the best for last.
We're now partners in Russell's film making, and Russell is co-creator and partner in this Tantra online course, though I'll usually write to you in the first person. He's brought many of these ideas to daily reality for me, and spoken many of these words to me. He calls this Tantric online course our first baby of many we'll create together. These are the kinds of babies we chose to make in this lifetime--neither of us chose to have children, but have been prolifically creative. Russell was born in 1952, and I in 1954, so we've "saved the best for last". It's never too late to have it all.
This Tantric course debuts online, but someday we'll do some live Tantric retreat courses in exotic locales. They'll be transformative ecstatic celebrations. Who knows what else will come out of this -- a book, some "bedtime stories", a film?
Russell and I share a philosophy of life that encompasses work, creativity, food, travel, play, how we dress, how we express ourselves, and how we spend our minutes and days, in addition to lovemaking: it is that living life is an art, and each moment is an act of creativity. We are not content to simply trudge through life carelessly, but prefer to make each moment of it as rich, fulfilling, happy, loving, intentional, delightful, pleasurable, and exciting as possible. Our emails to each other are works of expressive literature. Our interactions are filled with kindness, thoughtfulness, care, affection, passion, laughter, and joy. Building a bonfire at the ranch and lying there on thick comforters and pillows watching the clouds race across the full moon is more appealing to us than watching television.
Russell and I had been seeking this magical combination of easy compatibility and intense desire all our lives, and then finally found it in each other in our middle age. It's never too late to find it. Actress Betty White, in her mid-eighties, said in an interview that she still has sexual desire, and that if her late husband Allen Ludden were still alive, she's sure they'd still be having a rich sex life. She's currently putting all that energy into her ever-burgeoning creative life and a renewal of career success and popularity, and is busy working. I love Betty White! Who knows? Maybe the second love of her life is coming.
Since I'm a spiritual teacher, students may have stereotypical expectations that I don't care about the physical or sexual aspects of life. Nothing could be farther from the truth. While I don't give physical reality undue respect or permanence, I am madly in love with human life, the human experience, and physical incarnation. I came here for all of this! Some clients ask, "Do you visit sacred sites on your vacations?" or they'll offer to take me to see such things, and I'll say, "Lord, I don't give a hoot about visiting sacred sites, I created one at my ranch and live in it all the time! My life is daily magic and miracles and profundity. Take me to Las Vegas, New York, Greece, or Florence and put me in the middle of human life and earthly pleasures."
Our concept of Tantra is making an art out of living and making love. To make it as special, magical, deep, sensual, intense, loving, caring, appreciative, and ecstatic as possible, whether it's simple and spontaneous, or planned and ritualistic. It's the antithesis of rote, routine, unconscious, unimaginative sex. Spiritual sex and Tantric sex are beyond just doing what the animals do, although there's certainly plenty of room for that too.
