Embed Your Affiliate Link into Art

Step by step instructions to imbed your affiliate link into the art.

1. Pick the first work of art (we have tons of them) that suits your purpose.
    Here's how to highlight and copy it:

  • Click it to select it. It goes blue or gets squares on the corners.
  • To copy it, press these keys on your keyboard: control & c.
  • Or in your menu at the top of your screen, Click Edit, then choose Copy.

The new Valentine's Cards are good for any relationship -- business, family, friend, in addition to romantic ones! The funny ones are great for your jokes lists, or your good friends who love humor. What a natural way to introduce Divine Openings -- with Divine laughter!

 

            

    

 


 

 

 

 
 

             

 

2.  Insert (paste) the art into your email or on your website:

  • For email, put the cursor where you want the art to go.
  • On your keyboard, press control & v.
  • Or in your toolbar, click Edit, then choose Paste.

 

3. Now you'll go get your affiliate link, to paste into the art:
Lost your affiliate link? No problem. Click here to log into your affiliate account: Affiliate Login
(This should open a new window or tab.  If it doesn't, open a new browser window, and copy and paste this into the address bar: 

  • Now you're on the affiliate tracking site.
    If you don't remember your password,     enter your email address and they will send it to you!
  • Log in, and click on Links and Tools. There, you'll see your Affiliate link.
    It will look similar to this, but is unique for you: http://www.divineopenings.com/special?af=609014

Copy your affiliate link: Highlight it by dragging your mouse cursor over it, then press control & c, or in your upper toolbar, click Edit > Copy.

Hit BACK to return to the www.DivineOpenings.com/affiliate-resources page.

 

4. Now you'll embed your unique affiliate link code into your art.

  • Highlight the ad, card, or button (click on it)
  • On a webpage program, and some email programs, you'll click the Insert/Edit Link icon (looks like a little globe with a chain link on it).
  • A box will pop up.
  • Paste the link into the url address box, and click ok.
    or
  • If you don't see a globe, look up there in your toolbar. Press Edit > Insert Hyperlink.
  • A box will pop up. Paste the link into the url address box, and click ok.
  • We've found that if the person you mailed to doesn't have you in their address book or on their safe list, some isp's remove the link and make the picture into a plain attachment! But it won't change a text link. So, for insurance, in case that happens, paste your affiliate code under the art as a plain text link and put:

    "If clicking the art doesn't work, click this text link."

Make sure your link appears exactly as it was when you copied it from 1shoppingcart.com. Go look at the affiliate page in the other window to check. (Sometimes it can add an extra http://.... if it does, just delete one of them!)

This link is what tells our system that the visitor came from your referral. We cannot manually track them for you and pay you if they did not come in through your link.

Test your link yourself. Click the art and you will see it say "waiting for mcssl" in the lower left corner of the window. That means it is going through 1shoppingcart. That is what you want.


Another way to test that it's working is to mail the email to yourself. Then open your affiliate tracking page at 1shoppingcart,
and click the link in the email. Then refresh the 1shoppingcart page, and you'll see that click show up.

 

Always put the raw link as text in your email or newsletter under the art just in case the recipient's email program removes it from the art. Say, "Click this link if clicking the art doesn't work for you."
 

Now you're ready to send your link out into the world!

Now that your unique link is imbedded into your graphic or ad, you can simply highlight and copy that ad, and paste it into emails for email broadcasts, or paste it right onto your web page (or have your webmaster do all this).
